Conclusions of the CEN conference on standards and best practices in Risk Assessment held on 16 June 2006 in CEN/CLC
As a conclusion of the CEN conference on standards and best practices in Risk Assessment held on 16 June 2006 in CEN/CLC Meeting Centre in Brussels, it was decided to circulate a short questionnaire aimed at identifying any needs and expectations of harmonisation in the risk assessment field.
The document constitutes the result of this enquiry carried out during the last quarter of the year 2006 and gives a synthesis of the answers received.
One recommendation of the CEN is to accept the offer from ETPIS (the European Technology Platform on Industrial Safety) : the result of this enquiry including the topics identified could be transmitted to ETPIS for further investigation, identification of stakeholders ready to contribute to the work and confirmation of the need for a standardization action. CEN/BT WG 160 asks ETPIS to report within one year on their investigation and confirmation whether or not a standardization action is needed to answer market needs.
Therefore, a consultation will be organised to answer the question raised by this report.
