Information

ETPIS will organize on March 12-13, 2012, in Brussels, the next Stakeholder Annual Meeting as well as a SafeFuture workshop dedicated to the SafeEnergy pillar.

The year 2012 will be important for ETPIS because it will be the year of the deployment of the SafeFuture initiative in the new context set up by the European Commission with the Innovation Union and Innovation Partnerships (see http://ec.europa.eu/research/innovation-union/index_en.cfm?pg=intro) and the preparation of the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation  called "Horizon 2020" (see http://ec.europa.eu/research/horizon2020/index_en.cfm?pg=home). In this new context, ETPIS needs to adjust its role and continue providing added value to its members with technical information and news, workshops on hot topics, opportunities to prepare new projects with brokerage events.

As announced earlier in January, several meetings are already planned:

·     March 12, 2012 in Brussels (Belgium): 7th ETPIS Stakeholder Annual Meeting (agenda available)
The objective of the meeting is orient the platform for the next period 2014-2020 in the context of Horizon 2020, and with the recent development of the Innovation Unions and Innovation Partnerships. Therefore the first part of the meeting will cover the evolution of the research and innovation programmes  while in the second part, the expectations from the main stakeholders and partners of ETPIS will be presented and discussed. Based on the outcomes of this meeting, the strategy and positioning of ETPIS will be elaborated.

·     March 13, 2012 in Brussels (Belgium): SafeEnergy Workshop (as part of the SafeFuture initiative)
The objective of the workshop is to define the targets and research priorities of the SafeEnergy Pillar of the SafeFuture initiative in the context of the Energy 2020 strategy and SET-Plan.

In order to participate, you are invited to become an active member of ETPIS for 2012 and register here by February 10th, 2012 to continue to have access to the information provided by ETPIS (news, workshop announcement, access to the slides presented during technical events...)
